5 Steps to Look Natural with Makeup

Have you ever noticed the flawless look celebrities have? It's smooth, blemish-free and looks natural. The idea is to apply makeup and yet look natural. How do you achieve it? We’ll tell you all about it.

If you have the right supplies and tools at your disposal, the process won’t be too complex to follow. You’ll need a good moisturizer, concealer, and natural blush to do the trick. Here are 5 simple steps for you to follow that will give you the perfect natural look.

1. Cleansing and exfoliating
The first step to the perfect look is cleansing and exfoliating. Wash your face with a mild cleanser and use an effective exfoliator to scrape away the dead cells. Once you do that, use a soft towel to remove the blackheads and dead skin cells from your face by patting it gently on your skin.

2. Moisturize
Use a tinted lotion which also contains sun protection to moisturize your skin. A tinted lotion is sheer. Apply it like a basic moisturizer.

3. Conceal the blemishes
Hide visible breakouts or deep under eye circles with a pigment-rich concealer. Use a small applicator that will help you deposit just the right amount of makeup in the area, which is the key. Don’t use too much concealer. For blemishes, dab, blend, and build up coverage in thin layers. For dark circles, swipe the applicator under your eyes, then pat with a finger to blend.

4. Choose the right blush
Choose cream blushes in warm peaches or pinks that give your skin a natural, subtle flush.

5. Highlight your eyes and lips
Try to do your makeup in daylight if possible, to keep it light. Hold your mirror near a window. Add a tint that enhances your eyes natural contour without showing up as a shadow. Add a little extra definition or keep it blank, lightly dot a soft grey or brown pencil between the top lashes. For your lips, if you need some tint, pick a shade that matches your lips exactly and press the color into your lips with your fingertip instead of applying it directly from the tube. Concentrate it in the center and blend out.

There you go! You’re ready to look your best without giving up the fact that you’re wearing makeup. Try these techniques and turn heads in your direction every time.
